Siam Ayala Cebu June 2013

Siam is one of my favorite restaurants in Cebu City. The food always tastes great. The problem these days is that I noticed their servings keep on shrinking. Check out the photo below and the food that we ordered.

  • Siam Tropical Slush - (not in photo) PHP 278.00 is quite good and comes in a pitcher that can service 5-6 people.
  • Large Tom Yum Seafood Soup - PHP 280.00 - serves 10-12 people, not 5-6 as the waiter said so this is a pretty good deal.
  • Traditional Phad Thai - PHP 190.00 good only for 2 people at most. Unless you are on a diet, then this can be good for 3 people.
  • Chicken w/ Cashew Nuts - PHP 190.00
  • Fried Squid in Garlic - PHP 180.00
  • Spicy Red Chicken Curry - PHP 190.00
  • Platter Garlic Fried Rice - (not in photo) PHP 120.00
  • Vegetarian w/ Tofu - (not in photo) PHP 180.00
  • Phad See Noodles - PHP 170.00 this one also shrunk. was pretty disappointed upon seeing it
  • Platter Thai Jasmin Rice - (not in photo) PHP 75.00 this is what they call for their plain rice

Some of their menu are worth it while many now are not. The noodles definitely have shrunk. I may not want to eat at Siam as often as I used to before, but that does not mean they can be ignored. They do serve delicious Thai cuisine so some time again I may drop by the place and have another go.
