Island Grill @ Ayala Cebu August 2013
I think I forgot to write a post about my first time experience at Island Grill in Ayala Cebu the first time around but I will get to that once I find the photo of the food that we ate that time. This post marks the second time we ate there.
Their food is much cheaper than Ric's Barbecue in IT Park. For one thing, they have a double pork barbecue meal worth PHP 60.00. And the barbecue is all meat. Literally.
Their fresh lumpia, for PHP 29.00 is not worth it. Its accompanying sauce is sweet with a brittled peanut after taste or something. If you do not mind the peanuts, then go for it. As for the lumpia itself, bypass this one. It tastes there is nothing to taste in there.
The beef soup was superb though. A little salty in a way, but tolerable. It also has a spicy taste in it that makes it delicious.
Try their gambas. For a PHP 99.00 meal, it is a steal.
The bottom right is their eggplant. It can be a good vegetable alternative for us since kangkong and pinakbet are repetitive.
Island Grill picked a pretty good place because most of the time it is packed with people considering Ayala's Food Court is undergoing changes with regards to the new wing that will be opening up late this year.
