It seems that Chowking's Chinese style fried chicken comes from a recipe inspired by the famous Taiwan Fried Chicken. As what I had read, instead of the traditional flour-based breading, this dish uses a batter mix, the same breading used for tempura, which gives the perfect layer for a crispy and satisfying bite.
The fried chicken is then seasoned with a special Chinese marinade and garlic.
Can't really say the taste is something new. I found it ordinary. Still, you be the judge. Have you tried this? What do you think?
