Kennedy Space Center Tours

When we were in NASA, we took the Kennedy Space Center tour which took us to a 4 story (or was that 3, I forgot) platform where you can see the shuttle launch area from a distance. The buses are scheduled to pass by the drop off points all the time so you need have no worry for long waits. The land area where the shuttle launch takes place all the time is awfully huge.

Do you know that transporting the shuttle including its rocket boosters to the launching area takes so many hours? And the transporter also movies slowly that is why it takes that long just to position itself for launching.

The bus will also take you around NASA's other office buildings and structures so you can really see that NASA ain't just shuttle launch pads only. The bus ride can be pretty long but they have educational videos to guide you accordingly. If you are lucky, you can even catch a glimpse of some animals that reside in the area like alligators.
