Petronas Towers

Who can ever not include this tourist landmark in one of one's itineraries? The Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia used to own the title of tallest building in the world, until it was toppled by other structures from other countries. Still, this landmark is a thing of beauty. Especially at night, you will just gape in awe and amazement as the lights brightens the area surrounding it, the buildings look as if they are made of metal. Guests can get a tour inside Petronas by lining up early inside as they only release I think 1,000 tickets for free every day (except Mondays). You do not get to tour the whole of the towers but guests will be directed to the bridge that connects the two towers. The skybridge connects the 41st and 42nd floors of the two towers, which is the highest 2-story bridge in the world.

The Petronas Towers were a setting for some scenes in the film Entrapment starring Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones. We did not get to go inside though because we got there around 9:30am and that was on a Sunday just after we attended mass. To be sure that you will get the tickets, you can go there as early as 7:30am. When you go to the Suria KLCC mall, you can get some good views of the towers at the back of the mall. Or, you can go to the Petronas Towers front area and take your photos there. You can go [HERE] to view more photos I took of the Petronas Towers.
