The Corus Hotel

The Corus Hotel in the KLCC area in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was the hotel that we stayed in during our vacation in Malaysia. It is only a few walks to the Petronas Towers and Suria Mall KLCC.

It says in its website that it is a 4 star hotel but I do not think so. The hotel is not very tall itself and the area is not big so I wonder how it is a 4 star hotel to begin with.

Anyway, the place is good. The food buffet was great and our room was ok. We did not get the best room that faces the Petronas Towers though. Would have been nice so I could take more pictures of it from my room.

At the Corus Hotel, WIFI access is not free, which sucks and the WIFI daily charge is pretty expensive. Our airconditioner was sort of busted because it does not get very cold even if I lessened the thermostat. I did not bother going to reception and requesting to transfer to another room because after a day's worth of prancing around Malaysia, I was too pooped to gather all the things in our room just to transfer.

The breakfast buffet was great. They have a good assortment of food for appetizers, dessert and main course. We were disappointed when we checked out early though. Since we checked out during the wee hours of the morning, they prepared us a packed breakfast since their buffet area was still closed at that time.

The packed breakfast only consisted of 1 sausage, 2 breads, 1 sandwich, 1 small green apple and a bottled water. I would say we were cheated out of our last breakfast. Oh yeah, they do not have slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste in the room as well.

I would rate this hotel just a 7 out of 10. Its huge advantage is its prime location within the heart of KLCC in which other places are easily accessible. You can check a few photos of our room in the Corus Hotel [HERE].
